Provide Practical Information
We want to help share what we’ve learned with our community: links to certain products, companies, places to explore, hikes, bike rides, best coffee, camping recommendations and tips for safety.
Hi, there!
We are Amy and Marcy, two women pursuing our dreams in vanlife and travel.
Through our work in hospice and radiation oncology, we learned how precious life is. This is what motivated us to leave our jobs and hit the road. Taking that leap was SCARY but our passion and desire to LIVE was stronger. Marcy left her career after 30 years and Amy shifted her nursing to coaching.. Our daily reminder is, “you can always make more money but you can’t make more time.” We have one life to live. Adventure on!

Some words from the people we’ve worked with…
Jenny’s notes about “being inspired by you two special humans…
Tom and I hosted Amy and Marcy when they were traveling through New England in their tricked out van last fall. We have always secretly wanted to build or buy a tricked out van for retirement. After hearing stories and sharing lived experiences of their Vanlife, Tom and I began thinking about how we might begin planning for our life NOW.
Amy and Marcy inspired us to plan for a future that begins NOW! Vision boarding and setting intentions for our next chapter were some of the steps we engaged in. What fun it was to dream about places we wanted to go and people we wanted to reconnect with. They were truly an inspiration.“
Tom’s words about “you both inspiring us….
Thank you Amy!
Your leadership and facilitation talents are beyond extraordinary. Through our deeply personal conversations with you, we were inspired to really think through our next chapter. You made this exercise so much fun that we continue to revisit our vision board and tweak it to suit our ever-changing aspirations.”

January often arrives loud—full of pressure to decide, commit, and fix ourselves.
At One Life Van Life, we choose a quieter invitation.
Instead of resolutions that demand change, we pause and ask something gentler:
How do I want to live?
How do I want to feel as I move forward?
Recently, our Adventure Together community gathered for a reflection on intention setting—guided by Jennifer Medina, PhD, a clinical psychologist and longtime advocate for intentional living. What emerged wasn’t a list of goals or a plan to hustle harder. It was something far more honest: a shared willingness to slow down, listen inward, and honor where each woman truly is.
Because before we ask where we’re going, it helps to ask:
Where am I on the road right now?
